Description
Gratitude to Ron Kurtz, Creator of Hakomi Psychotherapy, and Yoga Teacher Lesley Fightmaster, who bought mindful somatic wisdom into Karen’s life and her husbands; partly as a result, WH HEALS was birthed. Karen has post graduate degrees in behavioural science and special education from Monash and Newcastle Universities, and a Mindfulness Life Coaching Certification – Dr. Joeel Rivera and Natalie Rivera – Transformation Services. She is the editor of the Warrior Heart Drum Therapy Program, which she has co-facilitated with Jeffery Reid (Mindful/Somatic Psychotherapist) at wellbeing workshops and conferences across NSW and Queensland. Karen also ran a Mindfulness Meditation enterprise in Sydney, and authored Mindful Behaviour Management in the Preschool Years, published and promoted by Teacher Training Australia (TTA). She provided extensive Behavioural Consultation, support and professional development for Guidance Personnel, Principals, Executive Staff and Classroom Teachers, whilst employed as an Assistant Principal Behaviour (Relieving) and Specialist Teacher, within the NSW Department of Education, Karen continues to be inspired by the present moment awareness, inherent in mindful WH HEALS which enhances wellbeing sovereignty, creativity and healthy connection within valued relationships, for individuals and couples.
